Read a Little DCC, Learn A Lot

You would think that knowing the first Arc I plan to run would be relaxing in the long run, but DCC is nearly a 500 page book!  Well, for a character funnel of zero level noobs, I don't need to know too much, but as the plan is to go from noob to 1st and maybe 2nd level over the course of 3 weeks - yeah, i do need to know more than my basic OSR knowledge.  DCC plays out a bit differently, but I love the feel and built in excitement to the game.

One small disappointment is that the two free mini adventures from last summer's Free RPG Day are also the ones included in the core RPG.  Which means I currently have 3 zero level adventures (1 in the rule book and two grabbed from rpgnow), 1 first level adventure (came with the core book as part of the pre-order) and one small 5th level adventure (from the core book).

If I decide later to build an Arc off of this one, I'll either need enough knowledge to effectively write my own, or wait on Goodman and the licensees to release some more.  I will say that the ones I have are high quality, not just production value wise but content too.

Should be fun :)
